SES informed about signing a multi-year contract renewal with Towercom in Slovakia, strengthening the longstanding relationship between the two companies. Based on the contract which comes into force on 1 January 2020, SES will provide one transponder on 23.5° E. The capacity will allow Towercom to aggregate content for the Slovak market.
Towercom has relied on SES for years to distribute their package of 11 TV channels, including 8 channels in High Definition, among them Slovak public TV and several privately-owned Slovak and Czech TV channels, as well as 33 radio channels.

Towercom has been a SES customer in the Czech Republic and Slovakia for more than 10 years operating satellite capacity to Slovak broadcasters on 23.5° E orbital position. From this prime orbital slot Towercom is able to access a premium TV neighbourhood serving 37 million households across Europe.
